There isn’t one. A 6% efficiency gain doesn’t equal a 6% range increase. There are so many other factors in play. Exactly. You need far more than 6% efficiency gain in the motor to get 6% more range. Ah. I think you misread it. It says it’s a 25% range improvement. Part (6%) of that 25% range improvement comes from efficiency gains. It’s not saying it’s a 6% efficiency gain. Someone is NOT telling the truth. JLR claims over 90% efficiency and Magna claims 12% better efficiency.
But wonder if the improved battery management and unlocking of more kwh can come OTA later??

WLTP will vary depending on e.g. wheel size. For this particular car used in the test the WLTP is 436km. If you multiply the consumption with the distance you only get 78 kWh which seems a bit low (a new battery rated to 84.7 kWh). I usually get above 80 when I drive to almost 0%. This car was driv...

yeah I guess you shouldn't need one in an electric car... But yet somehow the off-the-line performance is less 'wow' than the 20-70 performance. Maybe Jaguar limited it to reduce stress on parts... Thats true. It seems like its restricted off the line. Last test I read clocked it to 2,1 sec 0-50kmh...

Hasn’t WattCat’s capacity estimate been dodgy since H264? This update is supposed to do something charging related anyway, so I’d be more interested to know if you get faster DC charging in low temperatures or more than a minute of charging above 80kW at 150kW chargers :) H280 doesn’t affect chargi...
