Re: Volvo XC40 Recharge - EV

So far pretty impressed by the numbers except Fast DC charging - now wait for real world test. 2x 150kW engines slightly more than I-pace Sprint to 100km/h 4.9s which is 0.1s slower than I-pace Battery 78kW gross and 73kW net from which it wants to get 430km WLTP range is roughly 6km per kWh not sur...

Re: Bluetooth connects when car is off but charging

Are you sure? I've not tried it in the IPace but my last XE could connect 2 bluetooth devices at a time. Well I didn't manage but maybe that is me and not the I-pace. :o If possible it must be something you need to do special because for the last year I have not seen the car managing it automatical...

EV Experience => Efficiency effect

See below chart showing the data of almost a year driving in my I-pace, it nicely reflects how over time how me getting more used to driving with BEV as well as a little personality change (more relaxed - less in a rush) has a positive effect on efficiency. Cumulative average efficiency on nearly 27...

Re: Jaguar I-pace on the Nurburgring

Jaguar I-Pace becomes first Ring eTaxi https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-ev/jaguar-i-pace-becomes-first-ring-etaxi/41122 Nice although the €149 per passenger for a sub 10 minute drive is quite a bit - certainly if that would be a rear seat passenger. Guess it includes cleaning cost for the weak s...

Re: Bluetooth connects when car is off but charging

Slightly unrelated but related to Bluetooth - last weekend I realized that you can ONLY connect 1 device at a time to the infotainment system!?!?!?

WTH - my old Skoda from 5 years ago was able to connect to 2 bluetooth devices simultaneously.

Re: Jaguar I-pace on the Nurburgring

It amazes me that Ionity or Fastned haven’t installed a couple of chargers at the Nurburgring. It may be a little “niche” but you’re pretty much guaranteed some revenue from every single EV that goes there. The closest DC or Supercharger station is like 30km (30 minutes driving) away - Ionity Broth...

Re: Winter is coming

Jelle My average speed was much lower. 47 mph out and 48mph back. I know my speedometer over reads but I have not bothered to find True North and so my average speed per the App after a journey is always less than I would expect from the displayed speed in the car. Although the traffic was free flo...

Re: Winter is coming

I did a cross central Scotland run yesterday of 164 miles return. The route is almost all motorway and dual carriageway. Outbound - pre-conditioned, mostly dry and around 12 centigrade: 2.72 miles per KwH. Inbound - wet and temperature around 7 centigrade: 2.30 miles per KwH. Similar driving and ve...

Re: Europe Road Trip - Lots of Help Needed Please

Oh maybe you should change your settings in ABRP * don't use 20 degrees but 10 degrees (in October 10 degrees is more likely) * don't set max SoC charge to 100% but 90% (last 10% charging takes very long) * the assumed usage is about right but depends on your driving style * extra weight of just 20k...

Re: Europe Road Trip - Lots of Help Needed Please

Who knows, someone else might be planning the same and might find your replies helpful. Hello FA, A brilliant and great idea to make such a long trip with the I-pace. I would suggest to use ABRP as basis but look around on the various websites for potential better options. One element ABRP does not...
