Re: Alfa Power tackles ICEing

They should apply that to much more electric chargers - so very good news. Also really like that it applies to all cars - you must charge else get a penalty. Ideally also EV's that were charging but reached 100% will get penalized if they stay plugged in - with a grace period of 15-30 minutes. A cha...

Re: 860km in 11 hours 45 minutes

Indeed, 11 hours and 9 minutes total. Not sure about the exact % anymore. We charged to the amount of km to drive + 50/60km on the guess-o-meter. The lowest SoC was when arriving at the Spessart Nord charger, we were able to drive very fast very long. The gom indicated about 10km left. This is not ...

Re: 860km in 11 hours 45 minutes

Just to add my 2cts. Trip back home from Austria to the Netherlands through Germany. Packed full with 2 adults, 3 kids. Started at 90% charge, all Ionity chargers with potentially 100kwh charging speeds. Left very early so was able to reach 160km/h cruising speed for a long time. Topped out at 209k...

Re: 2,781km in 24hrs

The record set by Tesla Model 3 didn't last long - the Porsche Taycan broke it although it did it on the Narco circuit rather than the previous record set on public Authobahn by Bjorn. The Porsche Taycan managed 3,425km in 24hrs - so overall avg of 142.7km/h including charging stops. Driving speed w...

Re: electricity consumption

For what its worth, you should be on a night time tariff 7p/kw/h. New to this forum. Hope to join you soon. Craig In NL we do have high and low tariff scheme but the gap is minimal. From 7:00-21:00 my rate is €0.23 and from 21:00-07:00 and weekend it is €0.21. Rates have gone up 10% in last year :-(

Re: Tesla service something Jaguar can learn from

It is cleat that stardard car builders have no clue how to handle EV support. The dealer network is not trained or updated. Many can learn from Tesla. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/08/17/teslas-service-may-not-be-perfect-but-it-is-still-far-better-than-the-competition/ I absolutely would not call ...

Re: Ionity Gretna Green

Called again today at Ionity Gretna Green services, no further developments. Another successful charge at the E Volt CPS/CYC in Abington Village again today. Quick 20 minute splash and dash and a nice cup of coffee at the general store. Also tried the Ecotricity at Abington services, but of the two...

Re: Milton Keynes to Spain.. a positive Ipace experience

To me no problem, holiday starts whenever I step into the car, but not everyone is having that same view. Assuming the car is fully loaded, 1000km should be doable with 3 loading stops. If the loading speed can be increased, it will only be a plus. Also, the Jag navigation should point (or offer) m...

This is my best range. Start with SOC 100%.
That is a LOT of energy recovered on just 360km and looking at relative low avg speed.

I only recovered 7.3kW on a 100km drive down from Gotthard pass (2,106m), that gave me an efficiency of 12.2km/kW (82watt/km) with avg speed of 89km/h.
