Re: Why can't the iPace charge at 22kw

I even heard that JLR had beaten Audi with regard to the batteries, but Audi had beaten JLR with regard to the 3-phase inverters. Result: JLR was able to launch the Ipace in 2018, although with a single phase AC-charger, while Audi had to wait for their battery-supply to be in order.. So yes, JLR wo...

Re: Travel or Service Mode

There was a recent reference to this due to the car being in the hold of a ship for a Channel Crossing. Perhaps it is me (being an old decrepit hippy) but I can't find any reference to this in my manual. How do I put the car into one or both modes? I recently travelled to Norway via Denmark. Two ti...

Re: France Trip (my plan your thoughts?)(trip summary added)

So despite setting the car in transport mode, I got this notification about 10 min into the crossing. Once this happens the app becomes unusable you only see the screen below. Jaguar called me but I missed the call, I called them back confirmed the car was not stolen and they said they had reset th...

Re: At last, a good news story about I-Pace charging!

I’ve been driving through Germany and all the way to Italy, but only one time I had 100kW for more than 2 minutes. I had so much trouble, it was terrible. I can not recommend anything than Tesla to people that want to go over to full electric. It’s just not reliable at all. My brother in law drove ...

Re: Holiday Trip & 100kW charging

I think it has to do with CCS not being a real (well established) protocol. Apparently the car company (JLR in our case) and the charging companies (IONITY, Fastned) have to get together and adjust their software so their systems can understand each other. You see it with Allego in Belgium: New soft...

Re: Holiday Trip & 100kW charging

I am currently taking a roadtrip to / through Norway. Very pleased with 96 kW charging at Ionity (not all stations) Without a picture it did not happen.. (And yes, I have an Iphone...) 96kW_180degr.jpg Managed to drive 900km+ in one day (Netherlands to Hirsthals (DK)) with about 200 km intervals. Ve...

Re: Air-con Performance

Just out of curiosity, what is the outside temperature where you are at the moment? If you are asking me: 40 degrees celsius (NL)... I love the climate-control-function on the app. Temp set at 22 degrees celsius and the i-pace managed well. I was! Thanks. Just curious as to what level this started ...

Re: Air-con Performance

Perhaps for your interest: Got an email today from JLR aftersales: (Quick and dirty via Google Translate): The temperature is in good old celsius, though :ugeek: At the moment there are some problems with the operation of the air conditioning. Due to the extreme temperatures, the "MAX A / C" button ...

Re: Where are all batteries going to come from

There are many ways of producing hydrogen including sustainable ones. It can be done by capturing it from waste bio-mass and it can also by obtained water via hydrolysis powered by solar. As with EVs, the oil industry likes to spread all sorts of misinformation about hydrogen. I "make" my own elect...
