Re: Alternative to I-Pace
I guess you remember Lucas, the pinnacle of British engineering,? As a rider of British Motorcycles since 1969, I know Lucas very well. As bad as 'the prince of darkness' was, they were a world better from a much worse company namely, WIPAC. My BSA Bantam had WIPAC electrics and was a real disaster...

Re: Persistently over-optimistic range indication
I am not particularly surprised that the actual range is less than the advertised range (I've never managed over 200 miles on one charge). I'm also not surprised that the range has dropped in the winter to around 170 miles - even less when it was really cold. However what does surprise me is that e...

Re: Home Wall Charger
If in UK its enough to show the order details however there is a lot of faff to the incentive reclaim and it may not actually be worthwhile it probably cost me more to have the installation via the supplier with the grant than getting my own guy to do it but that may depend on where you locate it (...

Re: Worth Watching. Interesting conclusions.
The comments in the summary are interesting and a nice present going into 2021.
I do agree with the comment about the weight. Big Audi's are called 'Panzerwagen's' by my friends kids who see loads of Q7's (almost always black btw) on their school run.

Re: Begging Jaguar to use Tesla Supercharger
There is no technical engineering reason why Jaguar Ipace can’t use a Tesla charger in the UK. CCS is becoming the standard connector for all vehicles and software obstacles can be overcome. Their charging network is Tesla’s main, but not only,USP. However it is a anti competitive. If I fill up my ...

...No RFID cards. No tokens, No apps (other than to setup the payment details)... Fully agree on the massive benefit of this, but you'll need some level of standard and/or roadside visibility on pricing as well though. Any thoughts on security? Can these IDs be skimmed like your credit cards? Once ...

Re: Begging Jaguar to use Tesla Supercharger
Not sure how much we need to value this tweet. In hte US Tesla uses its own connector, so I dont see anything happening. In Europe, Tesla does use the CCS plug, but in the billing at superchargers there is a clear integration between the car and charger. You see the costs and identification through...

If you are into Social Media then fine. Twitter has become a sewer mainly thanks to what has been going on in the USA with the 'Tweeter in Chief'.
