Re: 1st Year Anniversary

Nigel Delightful post and happy anniversary. I am 18 months into ownership and agree with your sentiments. I have been fortunate to own a number of fantastic cars and the I-Pace beats the best pert of each of them - except for my 2cv which wins the smiles per miles as long as you don’t have to drive...

Re: Windscreen leak anyone?

Water inside the car does not sound good. There was a forum member RJUK who had a water leak caused by a badly fitted windscreen and who ended up rejecting the car. If you search under RJUK you should find the tale.

Re: NL to AT

I don’t think that you will have any trouble with that journey. We drove from Ijmuiden to Innsbruck in February using Ionity all of the way except for one Fastned charge at Nersingen. Our total journey time was 13 hours. I find it difficult to match ABRP journey times as I waste time finding the cha...

Re: Elektro Kitty

Car looks fantastic and I hope that it keeps you smiling for years to come. I have had mine for 16 months and my eyes have not strayed to anything newer. Firenze red is a great colour on these cars. I started with Firenze on the configurator, ordered Caesium and then chickened out to Corris when con...

Re: Impact on range of fully loaded car with roof box etc...

A roof box is a bit of a range killer. Maybe 15%.

At motorway speeds with a roof box I am between 2.0 and 2.2 miles per KwH.

Two stops sounds the stress free way to travel.

Re: Questions related to driving from The Netherlands to the South of France

I agree with Jelle that this is a challenging route in the I-Pace. We normally use the overnight ferry from Newcastle to Ijmuiden. Last summer the ABRP route from Ijmuiden to Nice was via Italy! It is a bit better now. I think that there is Ionity coverage from the Channel Tunnel all the way to Nice...

Re: Frozen Infotainment

Ian - I agree about avoiding the autoroute and time permitting (I am retiring but not retired) I do the same - once South of Lyon. Once you are set up with the tag it only costs an extra €16 each year which is a fraction of the cost of waking a sleeping wife up even one time at a peage. Plus it’s fu...

Re: Frozen Infotainment

Ian Or you could get round it by getting the Liber-T tag to stick on your windscreen. In addition to saving all the RHD car hassle and the queues when the tolls are busy you can also join in the rolling start Grand Prix - there is not much can beat the I-Pace when you give it full beans exiting a 30...

Re: Thule wing bar - which roof boxes?

I use a Packline NX195 box with Thule wing bars. It is a neat roof box although the trade off is that it does not have huge capacity. I used the box for a ski trip to Austria. The noise was bearable but at motorway speeds it really hits the range - maybe as much as15 % 619F062A-5CF2-43A1-A9B7-DE32B1...

Re: E.on Drive UK Network

There are also 2 Eon 175s at Preston. The station is just off the M6 although awkward to access. I have visited three times and found the charging speed consistently fast - better than Inonity MK and Gretna. Eon is quite expensive at 43p per kWh. There are a few ultrafasts appearing here and there i...
