Hi Dan,

I've just swapped my 4.0L V8 M3 Convertible for an Ipace. I was insured with Adrian Flux.

Rather than swapping my insurance to my new car, they told me they were unable to quote on the Ipace whatsoever. Then they found an alternative underwriter and increased my quote from £963 for the M3 to £1200 for the Jag!

Anyway, I just felt I had to comment as you're here on this board promoting cheaper ipace insurance, in my experience at least, this is far from accurate.

Hmmm.... 15 minutes on the phone. They can't give me a quote immediately; they are "putting me through to the HIgh Net Worth Team" to explore what they can do for me. It'll be "half an hour or so".

Are insurance companies just simply not ready for the changing market?

Sadly Adrian Flux could get no where near a competitive price for me.
I have just renewed via confused and my premium with LV is just over £250 :)

Despite assurance, they didn't come back to me. I have LV on standby but they are £100 more than my first year premium with Aviva.

Surprised AF have prime position on the forum when feedback is mostly negative.

In the end, after much shopping around, I'm moving to LV.
Same here. Adrian Flux wanted over £200 more for the same cover. I tried the 'new customer' trick and was told 'we don't insure EV's'. A load of baloney but there you go.

Went to LV for a bit less than last years cost and more miles as well.
