I've got it in both the I-Pace and the Evoque. I used it once in the Evoque to see what is was like (quite impressive, but I could have parked quicker and nearer the kerb myself). It would be useful if I lived in a residential street with limited parking spaces, but thankfully I don't.
Receive my 2021 HSE a few weeks ago. I can't find the automatic parking functionality. It is listed in the manual, tutorial and promotional material but I don't seem to have the button. Any suggestions how to enable it? Can't see it in the app draw. Feels like I'm missing an app.
This is what I get:

After discussion with our product team, I can confirm that 'Park Assist' is not available for 21 model year I-PACE.
Would it be possible to confirm where you located this information, so our product team can review and ensure all of our promotional material is correct.
I understand that you do. I'm just wondering how would the info be useful.
My previous BMW 5 series came without heated seats even though all the brochures at that time showed it as standard fit. I'm sure Bmw had their reasons, they didn't do it on purpose just to see if customers complain.
Same thing here - I just wonder if there are actual brochures or configurators online that showed automatic parking as available for a 21MY?
It's the same old story.
not even the dealers knew it was discontinued.
I ordered the car and the sales representative said I'll get the same like the test ride but with pivi pro and the 11kw onboard charger.
And getting to know the reason would be interesting. I think just as interesting as it should be for JLar to know that some customers don't like the decision.
I agree, park assist and driving assist are standards on most "mass market" cars. I find it really astonishing that JLR would just remove those features and I am very curious to understand the reason.
I love my iPace but with PSA, Ford, KIA, Hyundai…launching cars with twice the charging speeds, more technology for nearly half the price it will soon be very difficult to find the rational for buying an I-Pace.

The MY2021 original brochure had park assist and driving assist as standard features fo HSE and JLR ended up reimbursing £1000+ to customers for misleading materials….so JLR themselves seemed unaware of those features disappearing.

Both cruise steer assist and auto parking were shown in the online configurator for a while after the car was launched. Pretty certain it's now fixed but haven't checked.
