Premium will depend on your area and driving record even so premiums members quote vary from £500 or so upwards mine is about £800
There does not seem to be any logic in quotes just keep trying to get the best you can, about a month before renewal will see the lowest quote

 

Premiums are down this year, mine is down circa 15% and would have been down last year too without mobile speed cameras on the M6 in Staffordshire!

For me at least Churchill/Direct Line/Tesco were all in the mix, the absolute cheapest option was Tesco but I always opt for cover with an equivalent courtesy car these days which costs a little more.

 

Shelia’s Wheels for me, never had such a high premium for a long long time though.

 

Admiral multi car or direct line has always been cheapest for our cars, add family home ins too and everything gets discounted.

 

Thanks everyone - the thing I have found is that the same insurers are quoting cheaper through confused.com as opposed to go compare or money supermarket so worth checking confused - Admiral was over £100 cheaper on confused!

Go compare Tesco 604.

You have to do lots.

It end d up cheaper to just increase it on the existing policy.

Then theres different pricing in different brands from thr same insurer. It's a bit odd, and tedious.

 

Admiral (at least at renewal) are such fun when you ring them they actively say have you had other quotes that are cheaper (just say erm yeah thinks so) and they knock a bit more off all the cars/houses etc

 

From previous threads check Tesco includes Glass

 

Glass is one to check carefully nowadays. Tesco only give it on silver up.
