Fitting a dash cam on a Jaguar I-Pace is moderately easy.
For a start there are 12v feeds in the overhead console, one 12v always on and the other goes off when you lock the car. (It is the interior lighting circuit!!)

You need to go the www.powerfuluk.com
Entrer Item Part No. EWL200-Tap-Loom
or Part No. EWL303-Kit if your dash cam is powered by USB (5v)

This gives you an always on feed. I've used this for months with no appreciable 12v battery drain.

This for the New Defender but fits every JLR vehicle from the RR Evoque onwards including I-Paces, F-Paces and E-Paces.

I'll nag Simon at Powerfuluk to add it to the Jaguar listing!

If you really want a feed that does go off then with that same loom (USB or 12v) tap into pin 1 feed instead of the pin 6 feed used.

So Pin 1 is 12v and goes off when the car is locked
Pin 6 is 12v all the time, never goes off.
Pin 4 is ground (-ve) There are other pins that are ground but Pin 4 is the one I use.

The over head console is very easy to get into, a trim tool makes it VERY easy, and there is plenty of room above it to store spare cable!
Follow the guides on PowerfulUK.

The cable to the dash cam just need to be pushed down to the windscreen by gently pulling the head lining to get the plug through, which is fairly pliable. There are some points around the edge that it is held up by magnets!
This is so much easier than hiding cable behind A pillar trim etc.
There is absolutely no need to find a way to the cable to under the rear seat fuse box!!

Be prepared that you will get a very iffy GPS signal to the dash cam if it is a variety that has GPS speed and location on it.
The interior of the car is a very good Faraday Cage because of the windscreen and roof head and UV coating. Well documented!
There is a very simple cure for this.
Buy from Amazon a GPS repeater, about ÂŁ30. Powered by USB and you put the antenna under the wiper trim in the bonnet. The receiver up in the space in the overhead console near the dash cam. Simples!

How did you get the wiring to the trim under the wipers from inside the car....?

Yes i ordered one from powerfuluk and it works fine.

I found it easier to run a 3 core extension cable from the fuse box under the rear seat, under the trim at the base of the doors and then to the Garmin dashcam lead box, which then has its lead up to and over to my Garmin Dashcam at the front. The garmin parking dashcam lead has a special connector, so I just spliced in the cable (with wago connectors). I wasn't comfortable using the Powerful UK piece, given the warnings.

I shall wait until the unit arrives, it’s a mirror cam as well and I’m not certain of exactly what connectors it needs. I’ve seen the rear seat fuse box as an option also,

Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, we don't supply any hardwire tap-in power looms suitable for the Jaguar I-Pace model.
Being that the I-Pace model is a fully electric vehicle, the wiring set up will be different and we do not recommend trying to fit any of the kits we have available.

Sorry that we couldn't help with this one.

Which is nonsense FM have used this and it worked.
I went down the route of splicing the wires and soldering my own on to have a permanent 12v supply to my blackvue

Sounds like they are just covering themselves. I'm likely to give it a go as the console seems identical. Power source of drive unit is irrelevant.

Update here, I ordered the usb c one for the defender l663 and it works perfectly. I’d pulled the overhead console out a few weeks ago to retrofit sunglasses holder so knew it was simple. I was also able to put the gps antenna up there and it gets a perfectly decent signal.
So I now have the wolf box 850 front and back with mirror cam. Installed the rear one under the spoiler. Total stealth install , pleased with it all. Ive not been able to see out of the back for ages with the dog’s crate in there, now, it’s perfect! I didn’t bother fitting the red cable to the reverse light as that looked far too much bother.

I need to make time to fit my dash cam into the new car.

Hi, I'm looking at getting the loom for my ipace MY21, I've checked the powerfuluk website for ewl303-kit but can't find any kit with that part number, can't find ewl200 either. Has the part number changed, or is there a similar kit elsewhere?

I ordered this back in June, works just fine.

Okay got my dashcam fitted into the overhead console.

Dashcam tap-in+USB port for Evoque 2 2019+ overhead console dashcam hardwire kit

I used this and there is only one connector it can fit into in the roof and it turns off when you leave the car which is perfect - no battery drain. my car is a december 2022 earlier cars may be different.

was extremely easy to do. you open the sunglasses holder and then yank it down from the back of it.

I've been thinking about fitting a dashcam for a while, but am concerned there might be issues with the Jaguar Extended Warranty. Can anyone confirm it is definitely is not going to cause problems with the cover?
