Looking great. Nice clean caliper and disc.

I think I will live with the noisy brakes until EBC come out with their "EV" brake discs and pads. Mind you, not sure how non-JLR parts affect the warranty?
JLR can't have it both ways, if a component is wearable provided the spec of it is no different from the OEM version they can't really claim a warranty impact.

After all who gets OEM tyres fitted by a dealer rather than say a far cheaper tyre specialist.

I always get a tyre price from the dealer…. Often beats the tyre shops.

I never get a tyre price from a dealer even on brands that have better dealers. Unless there is something unique about the tyre they should never be cheaper than an independent.

This is doubled down with JLR, I would walk over broken glass to avoid anything but essential dealer interaction.

Also, a tyre shop is doing tyres all day every day so they have plenty of experience, dealers less so.

Dealers have stock of OEM tyres which they get at rock bottom prices. They have to keep stock in case a car needs a tyre during a service. So for example my Merc got 4 Tyres at £30 each less than the Tyre place could do.

The EBC coating will wear off and in fact the pads are made to actually do that with the first few mm being more abrasive, the black however will protect the none swept areas. Some discs are raw steel, some painted and others are Coated its the coated ones like he EBC that are better at preventing corrosion on the none swept areas. Watch from 4:22 re the black coating

Strange that my EBC Discs that I put on a F-Pace are the same coated black.
But they machined the slots and dimples after coating.
result the pads wore the coating off and the slots and dimples rusted a little As untreated steel.

methinks as I waited for 5 weeks for them to come back into stock they rushed the process and deviated from normal.
Anyone else found this?
