Reverse inoperative - electrical fault shown - appeared to clear itself after 2 hours

Today my MY22 iPace Black would not move at all in reverse although the R light was lit and everything else including drive worked normally. The dash stated 'electrical fault please stop safely'. I tried various things, locking/opening, ignition off/on etc but nothing made any difference.

I left the car for a few hours and now all works normally and no fault codes stored according to my basic code reader.

A similar thing happened 6 months ago which also resolved itself after a time.

Any ideas as to what may be happening would be appreciated.

Would you believe another new owner has raised a similar issue, ie a serious warning, which after a short period switched off and locked , the problem dematerialises. I am sorry to say that though not common, it does happen. https://www.ipaceforums.co.uk/posts/139084/

As mentioned above, I had basically the same thing happen this morning.

Car would not move at all, even though the error I got said "ok to drive with caution, traction battery fault". Although the car should still drive with this error (as I understand it).

I had mine turned off for an hour while I was waiting for a tow truck, of course as the truck arrived the car worked fine and no more error so I drove it home 🤷‍♂️

Yes, the car computer does things like that I have had a few things over years. The poor thing gets terribly confused but happy to work again after a rest and a proper restart.
