I use an Ottocast wireless mini adapter for my Android auto and it works great! It is also compatible for Apple carplay. There are no delays, reconnects automatically and because you also get a usb connector dongle that has a 90° angle you dont have to worry that you will break it when you grab something from the storage compartment. (It has to be in that slot).

I’ve had the CarPlay2Air for the last 4.5 years and operationally it’s ok however it has a flying lead so I had to make a holder to sit above the SIM card reader. A unit with direct USB connection would be preferable if I was choosing now.
