This noise is one of the few annoying things about the Jag.
I'm pretty sure it's a EU requirement to have the sound and I'm sure there will be a min level at which this needs to operate at.

Therefore, neighbours are just going to have to get used to getting annoyed or install double glazing
It is a very sensible EU requirement.

My point is that the Jag selected Beep noise is both penetrating and annoying. It's also very off brand to buy a £75k Jag and it sounds like a delivery lorry when reversing.

The requirement is to make a noise (possibly an engine sound) not that it makes beeps.

Anyway it's earplugs all round for now

It's far less strident than a delivery lorry...

Honestly, just give them the choice...

Would they prefer the quiet background beeping noise of an electric car once a day, or the clatter of a diesel engine twice a day both when you leave/arrived?

I guess time will tell when we all get to hear the full orchestra of different manufacture sounds, which ones sounds the better, especially during mass car movements in supermarket carparks.

Your neighbour on the other hand will explode when the neighbourhood goes to work and does the school runs in a few years time

This noise is one of the few annoying things about the Jag.
It never seems to bother the people walking or standing behind me when I'm trying to reverse out of a parking slot !
Just how loud is yours ?
I can't hear anything from inside the car unless a window's open, and only barely even then.
It took me quite a long time to realize that the car was even making a noise when I was reversing into my garage even with my head out of the window.
There's no way a neighbour would ever hear it. (if I had any)

In my opinion the beep sound is nice and soft, not like a 🚛 at all.

I was also very surprised by his comments.... but thought i should a least ask, so i can now say sorry...nothing i can do!

I might borrow an F Type SVR and see how he likes that!!

Happy times!

Hire a diesel for a few days and then they'll know what annoying sound really is.. obviously hire a slightly older diesel as the new ones are fairly quiet

I recommend an F-Pace SVR because of the loud exhaust noise and if you really want to annoy them press the "loud" button!
Cesium Blue HSE no sunroof, air suspension, HUD. Changed 20in wheels to 18in :D .
