Software update

Post by Thommo » Tue Nov 12, 2019 9:24 am

My iPace First Edition had a major software update on Friday. JLR Guy Salmon Thames Ditton needed the car for the whole day as my Service Rep said that it can take up to four hours to complete. They also needed to change something with the bonnet mechanism.
Anyway after charging it last night and starting this morning, the indicated range is now just 202 miles. Whilst I'm aware that the car's range prediction is based on each driver's style, it has never been below 245 miles prior to this software update.
Has anybody else experience this?

You are probably seeing this because while at the show room the car was using battery and not moving much, hence the range indication (being a reflection of past driving) has gone down.
I think a reset of the GOM would do the trick and within a week or so you should be back to the same car as when you handed it to them.

Turn ON the car and while still in Park, press and hold both accelerator pedal and brake pedal for 10 seconds. This will reset the GOM value.

I think this is a known bug which should disappear by itself after a number of hours driven (like 12 hours I think). It does not influence the real range. It's just about estimated range (GOM).
