Ah right I see! I can see why they would do that but a little more flexibility would be nice! O well thank you for answering my question ;)

If you use the Wattcat software, you can charge to a reduced limit to delay charge start time. I have dual rate electricity and charge to 90% unless I anticipate a long run. This generally keeps my charging within the preferred time settings! Wattcat is available through this forum and shows the potential of the I-pace software

I’m using an old fashioned dumb charger and am advised that the new smart wall chargers are potentially programmable to specific charge times

Yes, some are. I have a new Zappi 2.0 installed and it allows timed charges. It would be even nicer if we could program the charger to stop when the car reached a SoC %, ie charge all you like at these times but stop when the car reaches 80%.

Yes I have a dumb charger but hopefully will get a new one soon. By the way has anyone ever seen this screen. 1st time getting it today when I got home and turned the car off. What is it syncing to and it was going for a good 2 mins. In the end I just left and locked the car!

Ah, I think that is one of those feelings that you sometimes get as an I-Pace owner :-)

It does clear up though.
