Panoramic Roof Shade

Post by gt03raf » Thu Jul 25, 2019 9:00 am

Hi,
has anyone got one of these?
https://gear.jaguar.com/gb/en/i-pace/in ... f-sunshade

im considering it as ive noticed
1)i can feel the heat radiating off the inside of the glass.
2) the glare often makes it difficult to see the lower display panel
3) the glass actually gets almost to a point of being too hot to touch.

with our planned trip to spain im wondering if it might be a sensible purchase

Anyone tried it?

Andy

I dont have one but never noticed the heat as you do, does this stay in place also while driving or removed for each trip?

Thanks

We have a toddler so are considering getting one when the car arrives in September.

Wonder why they didn’t build an electric cover into the roof system?

It’s a glass that lets minimal uv rays in, my car doesn’t seem that hot for a car with a glass roof.

I found this product on the UK catalog, and asked my dealer in belgium to order it, it was quick delivered. Since i have no hear on my head, iT was so hot underneath the glass roof i had to wear a cap. The installation is with metal clips sliding into the side, iT does not fit 100% but does give Some schade result with these current high temperatures. Since the driver and front passanger does not have a lot advantage of the transparant sunroof, i regret having ordered this option.

So it’s rubbish?

Not had any issues to warrant purchasing this item - to be honest it looks to be a right faff on to fit it and remove.

When ordering the pano roof I did think there should be an electric screen or something like, however, in reality it really isn't needed, mind i've not traveled in the rear seats where the problem may occur.
Delivered March2019. MY19 I Pace SE Corris Grey, black pack, privacy glass, black wheels, pano roof, 0-60 4.5secs - No spare wheel due to the ridiculous storage solution.

I am pleased to say that I don't have a glass roof - I don't see the point of a sunroof you can't open! but can I suggest that you fit the sort of plastic film they use on shop windows or office windows to cut down on light transmission? There are lots of options and you just cut it to size. A quick search on eBay came up with many offers such as this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRO-LIMO-BLA ... 0005.m1851 It's a roll 6M x 76 CM for £8.58 and at that price you can afford to take it off in the winter and put a new piece on next year.
Cesium Blue HSE no sunroof, air suspension, HUD. Changed 20in wheels to 18in :D .
