Nothing polite comes to mind and I am sure you said the same words that I thought. Real sympathy Chewy. You OK?

There was a slight hold up on the M5 near Gloucester yesterday :-(

Driving in the middle lane, the traffic in the outside lane slowed to a stop.

One of the cars in the outside lane was travelling too quick and instead of rear ending the stopped cars decided to swerve into my lane and hit my drivers side wing, smashing the wheel in the process. It also knocked me into the lorry that was on my inside, hence me not being able to swerve into that lane myself. So I got pinched on both sides :-(

The interior airbags didn’t go off as traffic was only about 40mph at the time and there was no front impact.

The exterior Pedestrian Crash Protection System came into action and the bonnet lifted itself at the windscreen and an airbag that covered the entire windscreen deployed. As good as this would be for protecting a pedestrian, in this case it completely obscured my view out of the window.

Anyway, everyone walked away unharmed.

I pick the XJ up on Monday. Guess I will have two cars now as the I-Pace was going back to Jaguar. I suspect they might not want it now.
You realise that, despite the non-ICE nature of this forum, we will require picture of the new XJ.

I hope you had gap insurance! Sorry to hear this happened chewy. Poor timing but at least everyone involved is ok.
