... and the time it takes to plug and unplug. Time is money ...

Re: Apple Car Play Wireless Connection Adapter
I take it with this you're still limited to CarPlay only on the main screen - no Jaguar support of the second screen or HUD?

Re: Apple Car Play Wireless Connection Adapter
I’ve had this for a couple of days now and it’s been ok. When it works it’s great, very slightly slower feeling than a cabled connection but otherwise I can’t tell any difference.
But it’s not been very reliable so far, sometimes it connects quickly other it takes an age and at others it just won’t connect at all.
No idea what’s going on, have any of you had similar issues and overcome them?

Have you un-paired or "forgotten" the previous Bluetooth connection between your phone and the I-Pace? Perhaps this will help.&roid wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 4:34 pmI’ve had this for a couple of days now and it’s been ok. Update on this: the connection seems a lot more reliable now, I think I just needed to repair the Bluetooth a couple of times.
Unfortunately, as someone posted upthread, not plugging the phone in means gps barely works
With my phone in my pocket it hardly gets a fix, if I take it out and put it in the centre console it’s a bit better but still jumps about all over the place, missed a turning on the motorway yesterday because of it.
So a bit of a mixed bag. For short journeys where I don’t need google maps I guess it’s ok, but if you need GPS you’ve got to plug in any way so wireless CarPlay becomes a bit moot.

That has been my conclusion. Works well on short journeys, but for longer journeys I need to keep the iPhone powered up (which I do via the USB under the "flying bridge" section of the central console).

Re: Apple Car Play Wireless Connection Adapter
Well I am a happy bunny! My CPlay2Air arrived today, thank you Ebay!
No joy when I plugged it in the car so I decided to upgrade the firmware, thank you golar3!
Plugged it in and was met with a message on the screen asking if I wanted to pair.
It took a couple of tries and switching the iPhone's Bluetooth off and on and suddenly I was met with the Apple Car Play screen, all wirelessly!
Charging is by the pad you can under the lower screen. ADD and I choose the same version and it works well though I stuck mine to a piece of ply to keep it flat for more reliable charging.
So Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless charging!
Next on the list is Wireless car charging!
Stay safe
