I can't believe this! Here you have one of the most advance cars ever made and what do you want to do.

Have fun driving!!!

You Jaguar I-Pace people are strange! Fun, fun, fun that all you want from your cars. :)

Next it will be road trips on winding roads with the wind in your hair.

What next? Trips to the beach?

As one of the sad individuals delving into the range and efficiency of the I-Pace  can I say that finding the least efficient way to drive isn’t that much fun? Driving fast is good fun but doing it badly isn’t.
Anyway, if I really want to have fun driving a car then it’s still got to be a light rwd sports car, open top, and a manual gearbox. My MX5 even before it gets its V6 transplant is more fun than the I-Pace in my view.
Yes, the Frog-Eye Sprite I had c1971 was more fun than anything. But in those days, the roads were empty, and both the car in front and the one coming round the next corner towards you were pootling along at 30mph, so overtaking even with only 998cc was easy. Nowadays, both other cars will be doing 50-60 and even with a supercar, overtaking is tricky.

For fun, the road is more important than the car (IMHO). Empty, twisty, and in open country where you can see round the corners. Not many such roads left in the crowded South-East.

Nostalgia ain’t wot it used to be.

And with an 80kph (50mph) speed limit when not on the Autoroutes...

Are there really cameras everywhere? I found very few when riding there last summer or is Annecy especially bad?
Driving "Hirundo Rustica" since 15th Mar 2019. Lovely Jubbly :D :D

There are a few good roads down our way in the East of Kent, often on the Downs or Weald. The I-Pace is a bit big for some of them but the Sprite size car is just right.

The I-Pace is so accomplished that you have to be doing heroic speeds to get anywhere near its limits. The small light MX5 types with skinny tyres and just a bit too much power for them are perfect for these roads.

On the other hand, for a wet slog round the M25 and some A roads where you need to overtake the lorries, then the I-Pace is pretty awesome.

Finally got the car fully charged again - have been driving more efficient recently so slight improved on predicted range - 282km just 60% of Jaguar's WLTP number.
