Navigation map update

Post by luckybob990 » Sat Jul 13, 2019 10:19 am

Hi I tried to update my maps today for the third time and I get past it showing what it's going to update to but then fails and you get a message to contact your dealer. The trouble is it never offered to back up old nav software so now I'm left with no navigation what so ever .
It's on a 64 gig stick formatted to 32gb fat32 .It downloads it ok with no errors. I've now downloaded it 3 times . I'm stuck

Sounds like there is either an issue with your infotainment or your usb stick. If you have a different one lying around you might try it out.

Always those update softwares that don't let u choose the destination folder. What about ppl partitioning their HDD with not 25Gb free on system partition ...

I had this very same thing with the current update last Thusrday.
It deleted the old maps and got about 10% of the way through it and it failed.
I tried again and it did the same.

I had to interrupt that download and it was done over WiFi.

So... I connected up the wired Ethernet and did the download again to the same USB stick.

This time it worked perfectly.

I'd download the update again and try the install with the fresh download.

I had exactly the same problem, I reformatted my stuck and downloaded the full update again. This time it worked perfectly.
