Engenie rapid

Post by Paulsouthport » Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:58 am

A new engenie rapid was installed near to me last weekend. Free vend for the week, which is nice.
I tried on Sunday but got 3 failed to starts and the car reporting, briefly, a HV system error.
Reported to Engenie.
Tried again this morning, same result. Engenie said they were aware of an issue with iPace but to try a manual reset of the charger. Thus worked and I got a decent charge.
So, be aware of potential errors!
Btw, engenie customer services are excellent.

I watched a video a few days ago with someone trying an Engenie charger, they had the same problems to you until they did a full reset of the charger, then it worked OK.

I had a problem with Engenie chargers last year, and asked about it on the main forum.

Responses included the advice to reset the charger, with instructions on how to do it. I've not had the opportunity to try one since, but will give i a go at the next opportunity.

Other than having to do a hard reset, which is OK if no one else is using the AC, it's a nice pump, good info, easy to use, bit of a short cable so park nose in and close

Had the same high voltage error. At first, car was not drivable (throttle would not always respond; dangerous). Sat for 15mims and then tried an Ecotricity round the corner; all worked fine. Must admit never had a problem with Ecotricity unlike many it seems.
