I thought it was an OK review. But really highlighted the poor UK charging network. Let’s face it if I did a lot of mileage the only electric vehicle to chose would a Tesla with their dedicated charge network that seems to be expanding faster than all the others put together.
I agree. A sense of perspective is maybe missing here. For those that don't know, 'Harry' is a long-time petrolhead and well-known motor journalist who is IIRC a founder of EVO magazine. (He also has a newish Youtube channel called 'Harry's Farm', which is well worth a look for anyone interested in rural matters.)

What you're seeing in this review is not pro-Tesla (other than in respect of the charging network) or anti-JLR, it's just someone's genuine reaction to trying to run an EV for the first time over a period of some weeks and different journey types. It highlights that even respected journalists have not necessarily done their EV homework prior to running an EV and that it's not just as simple as jumping in an EV and assuming that charging or achieving NEDC range will be plain sailing.

My take is that Harry really liked the I-Pace and was very pleasantly surprised by its performance (which is high praise from someone used to fancy sports cars), but the need to keep a constant eye on range on longer journeys and charging away from home in general can both still be a right pain, especially if you're not used to planning ahead, having a Plan B for charging etc. For many potential EV owners these issues can still be deal-breakers. And that is probably an honest appraisal across all current EVs that came through in this review.

It’s got to be Donald Trump because of not getting his way over his Golf Course!
Tesla are the only vehicle's for longer journeys, otherwise it has to be a Hybrid. Agree or Disagree?
Disagree - taken the I-pace to Czech, Italy, twice Slovakia and 5 times to DE from NL.

Are the Tesla S and 3 more practical for long distance - YES because they are more efficient and charge faster.
Are the Tesla S and 3 more comfortable for long distance travel - Hell No and certainly not for backseat passengers.

Despite adding some hours for charging I am still making these trips in 1 go (longest is 17hrs) and that is possible because the I-pace is very comfortable to drive.

Totally disagree.

That said, no two people have the same definition of what is a 'longer journey'.
As I have commented here, one Tesla driver told me that my I-Pace was a city runabout. Ironically, this was as I was charging after covering more than 300 miles that day through the Scottish Borders.
Driving "Hirundo Rustica" since 15th Mar 2019. Lovely Jubbly :D :D

At least mine stands out in a crowd (Caesium Blue). His was just another black Model 3.
Couldn’t agree more - Caesium Blue is a brilliant colour :-)

Also disagree with using an apostrophe to make a plural. Wonderful British education system, eh?

So you're not responsible for what you post if your computer decides to change it before you hit send? Hmmm .... ;)

Predictive text does not place an apostrophe in the word vehicles.

This review is less of a drivers review but I do agree with nearly all of the comments (just not the seats).
