Long time since anyone posted on this thread, so I thought I'd bring it back alive.

Fully charged my car last night and hit a new record - 452km at 100%. That's 281 miles in old money :-)
You must be driving too slowly! ;)
Yeah, just commuting for the last couple of weeks, so no motorway driving. I'm also on 20 inch wheels, so I reckon that's about the max range I'm likely to get. Have a big few road trips coming up with lot's of motorway - First to the French Alps for a cycling event. Then on to Alpe d'Huez for a family holiday. From there to the Czech Republic for an ice hockey camp and then from there back to Luxembourg. If I have more than 300km range showing on the GOM after that I'll be surprised :D

Helsinki Ecorun had 7 EV's participating this year. I-Pace was last one with 15kWh/100 km. That would make over 550km range. Competition was drivin in urban and local roads, average speed 40-60km/h in stages.
The lighter the car the better the results for lower speed start stop driving. I’ve seen the iPace do better than the model X for that kind of driving as it’s 200kg+ lighter. Same goes for ICE or EV.

Yes and on a race track the i-pace would have been the first of the 7 ...
U don't buy a Jag for hypermiling p
Why they don't do the same with ice cars, comparing range of a BMW M3 with a Clio at 40-60km/h ? Because they know it's not the same car at all. But it seems all EV are comparable just because of range limite.

I made a round trip last week with I-Pace and got back GOM showing 1 km. But total driven distance was only 317km with full charge. It's worse than winter but it was rainy summer day. And that was on smaller roads, no highway speeds at all.

My worst ever consumption figures have been heavy rain, in Summer. After slowing down to improve Aero and finding that didn't help enough I assume that having to push all that water out of the way can't be changed by just going slower?

Yes rain add a lot of rolling resistance.

ABRP factors in 10% range reduction in rain and 20% in heavy rain.

Think how heavily a car decelerates when you hit a 2" puddle kerbside.
It's doing a portion of that every foot of the journey.

Now in Black HSE (every tech option, no bling)
Awaiting PV, Powerwall, Zappi.
Looking forward to free motoring. (barring the cost of all the kit !)
Guilt free at least.
