Thanks @Thincat - I did think I ought to see if I could get the car in for a quick diagnostic before February if possible. I'll pop in to the dealer unannounced and see if I can talk to a service advisor. Jag i-pace technicians seem in short supply, and in very high demand.

WattCat shows me 195 miles @ 72%, this is based on local usage, very little fast road driving. Fortunately I don't have any longer journeys planned until the summer, even so, if I can speed up whatever fix is needed it'll make sense to do so.
Good luck! By the time my car was taken in for the traction battery swap I was being shown a range of about 100 miles with a 72% charge and I did not believe that because the last 20% was very unreliable. Unfortunately, I never got my car back from the dealer (Inchcape in Derby) because they had a flood and decided to write my car off, along with more than 200 others, even though my car was unique in being on a lift and therefore clear of the flood water! Worse still, they are refusing to accept liability for the loss of my car and have told me to claim on my own insurance!

I'd noticed in your sig. the loss of your HSE and nearly commented on how sad that was. I then thought that must of hurt and I didn't want to open a wound.
What the . . . is wrong with people?! Your car perfectly OK, out of reach of the water and it gets written off! And, to add insult to injury, Inchcape refuse liability. Words don't fail me but I can't use them here!

Just read your thread re. the flood. Par for the course with insurance companies I suppose but leaves you in a very poor situation. I'd be spitting feathers and looking at how to sue someone.

Thank you, there are people worse off than me and fortunately there is a Facebook and WhatsApp group to share experiences and work together. The amazing thing for me was that they had removed the battery and it was on the floor. Their insurance assessor said "a new battery is ÂŁ20k" and that is probably 2/3rs the value of the car so it's not worth repairing. My argument would have been (given a chance) that the new battery had not been fitted so did not belong to the car. They should have got a replacement part from stock for my car and claimed on their own insurance for their lost inventory.
So far my insurance company has not visited the car and they might feel that Jaguar should finish the job. Then I might end up with 2 cars!

For all of you frustrated by H441, Audi is recalling all e-trons in US made before 11 March 2022 for this same issue. They will get the software update, but won't have parts for repairs until Q3 2024. Owners will get notified in February. At least Audi is letting owners know that parts are not available from LGES. We can probably expect the same dissatisfaction from Audi owners when their cars get limited charging and can't get fixed ASAP. NHTSA recall 23V867000.

Recently bought an FE 2019 like new just 700km driven.
Notification an limited to 72%
Drove from Switzerland to Hamburg 1100km
Charging was limited to 80kw and dropped at 55% rapidly
Tomorrow i have an appointment Nat the dealership for a Alarm issuer.
I am not so Happy

Thanks Elbocko, an insightful post. Apologies I didn’t respond sooner, I didn’t see the notification you had replied!

One thing I’m interested to know; is whether you had the same charging control issues (seemingly more Remote app than others), prior to it going in for the H441 update?
In truth I cannot comment on the previous performance as I did not carry out that style of testing on the original installation.
A gut feel is that there is little if any difference between pre and post H441.

I’ve finally got a date for the PCM update tomorrow, I believe they will also update H441 from “BS” to “BU” or “BV” (whichever the latest is). Will report back findings in due course.

I am hoping someone can help. My21 IPACE has version 2.1.2 installed on Pivi Pro. The JLR online servicing portal and Topix both report that my vehicle has no outstanding issues / recalls. Reading the H441 recall letter kindly posted above, it mentions that the H441 issue will be resolved by installing version 4.0 on the vehicle. My vehicle has neither version 4 or an outstanding update. I'm confused and would really appreciate your help. JLR keep saying my vehicle is on the latest version, but I am struggling to see how this can be the case.

You could call jaguar assist they can push the up date or customer services if you don't qualify for assist

Both the dealer and 'Customer Services'

Therein lies a big potential problem. Dealerships aren't JLR, they are independent businesses that happen to sell JLR products, often not even exclusively. As such, nothing they say can be relied upon to be in any way connected to the views or policies of JLR.

There are examples on this forum that illustrate this, with dealers saying something that is contrary to JLR policy, or dealers selling customers non-JLR products, like warranties.

Sorry, I asked the same question under another your message. So what is the problem with BS version? I have completed 441 and my current version after update is BS.

Hi
Mine got H441 in June 2023. Now it will have the H471 in January 2025.

After a lot of battery problems and fires have we learnt anything related to prevent the problems coming from the bad production of the Battery Pouch Cells?

What is the driver for the failures - is it age, the number of charge cycles or charging to 100% - always ? Mine have low distance and try to keep it between 80 and 20%. Am I safer then ?

Who knows what the driver is?
Certainly the fact that they want to limit maximum charge may suggest that you are safer not going to 100%
We have had a lot of battery problems. Have we had a lot of fires? I think I have only read of one on here (a car in the US), which contrasts to what seems like 1,000's of posts about battery problems.

Don't buy any products containing parts from LG and it's subsidiaries.

There have been a total of less than 1 dozen fires in US per JLR recall filings. The known problem of folded anodes is the cause but there is no exact amount of time, charging cycles, etc., that make them fail and overheat. Charging to 80% limits the amount of energy in the battery and has a psychological value but doesn't physically fix the underlying problem.
