Hi all, I'm revisiting this topic because I want to touch up some small defects on my Light Oyster leather and cannot find a match for the colour! I've bought Jaguar Light Oyster colour from Furniture Clinic and Light Oyster from Leather Colour Doctor and neither match. I contacted Jaguar and they said there's no code for it - just Light Oyster. I can send a sample of the leather in for matching but I'm surprised this colour isn't readily available. Has anyone cracked this challenge! Thanks

The furniture clinic have samples from Jaguar which are the official ones. They do look decidedly grey. So if you have a lovely grey interior the 'Oyster AMT' could be a perfect match.

This is also interesting to me because it's a PVC fabric and not leather... which won't be a surprise as even cars with leather have them coated with PVC to make them last longer.

I have no doubt that the Oyster sample sent from Jaguar and the photo I just posted isn't anything but genuine and that is labelled 100% PVC. I'm highly suspicious of my 'fine leather' interior as it looks just a bit too perfect to have come from one of our four legged friends, even if Jaguar claim the chairs are 'leather' I'd guess that the perforated bits aren't.

I was always a bit suspicious of whether the leather was real especially perforated - why do that to real leather?
However there's a youtube video showing how to tell the difference which may not be true.
If you push into real leather you get a wrinkly effect like skin
If you push into pvc leather it just stretches
My perforated seats do the former.

There's also an intriguing thing in the recent hot weather a month or so back, the seats instead of being clammy actually felt cool.
Do the perforations help with that? And no I dont have the seat cooling option.

Hmm...the cirrus colour you reference looks close I must say... I've tried mixing the furniture clinic and a leather colour doctor products and I have managed to get a colour that is quite close but not really close enough to be unnoticeable! It's frustrating...!!
