One slight annoyance. The MOT has an "advisory" on about the front tyres, stating they are near the legal tread depth limit at 2mm.
It just so happens that I have a tread gauge so this evening thought I'd check that and couldn't find any spot on either tyre that was below 3mm with most 3.5-4.0mm. "We have two tyres in stock and can fit them before you collect.". Not very professional.
Think that’s quite common John, I’ve also read/heard a lot of MOT testers ‘put something down’ to make their records show a spectrum of testing rather than pass/fail etc

For anyone interested, this is the video sent to me of their walk-around "health" check. Quite pleased, notwithstanding the "2mm" reading of the front tyres. 🙄

Glad to see others as geeky as me 👍👍

Interesting video. I am surprised that the brake pads had worn that much in that mileage. You could see from the video that the tyres had more tread than they said, so maybe they do the same with the brake pads as well.
I am just slightly lower mileage than you so will also try and capture the magic 33333.

I'm afraid the smutty child in me noticed my loan I-pace just passed 8008 miles ... IYKYK

Not so long ago my own car passed 58008 miles ...

Mea culpa 🤭

Pity it'll go to waste as I'm not driving any distance today.

Good going, mines still showing as 252ish, I only get that once I put in a route.

Saying that, unfortunately I had to go to London last week, thought I would see how efficient I could be on the way there, so I could ensure I had enough juice to get to Stevenage Tesla chargers comfortably on the way back.

It's 145 miles, all A1, left the Cat in cruise at 60 mph and arrived in Belgravia with 49% remaining o_O, my driving was a bit more "enthusiastic" on the way back, 34 mins on the Tesla chargers and got home with 39%.

All in all a pretty smooth journey apart from the horrific nature of driving in central London, the Stevenage Tesla chargers are great, lots of eateries etc.

230 mile round trip, night driving to the airport.

This was my starting point.

Hey, I didn't think it was a bad effort for 3 minutes using my phone. I'll go all Photoshop on it when I get home. :D
