My iPace will be 3 years old in December and I've just purchased the extended warranty with Jag Assist, 2 years InControl and 3 years of maps at Here.com. The only thing I cannot figure out is Pro-services and what I need to do to renew. Is a this SIM based feature? One Jaguar webpage sends me back to Here.com and another tells me Pro-services adds "a suite of connectivity features to your infotainment system including Live and an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot". TIA

For Pivi cars nothing happens at the end of the Pro Services period (all services remain). That said there is no real functional benefit either (no ability to presend routes etc). I can't comment on the TP I was just checking as MY21s were supplied for all new orders from October 2020 so a December 20 registered car should really be a MY21. Although one other member here bought the old model at a similar time.

Indeed, my car was registered in December 2020 but is a MY20, one of a batch of a dozen or so MY20 cars that Jaguar pre-registered and offered for sale in December 2020/January 2021. I've not been able to discover how this came about, but it was noticeable that there were several other MY20 cars being advertised with just delivery mileage in Autotrader at that time.

Dick Lovett Jaguar, Melksham. There were quite a few for sale, dotted around the country, at the time. The HSE that Dick Lovett had was very, very close to the spec I'd have chosen if ordering, plus they weren't too far away from us. According to the advert, and the conversations I had with the sales chap, the car was a "Jaguar management car". I assume that's a euphemism for pre-registered cars. I originally assumed this was just a way for Jaguar to get 2020 new car registrations up, registering cars in December just gets them into that years sales. Now I know the timing of the MY21 changeover I'm not so sure this was the reason, I suspect they somehow ended up with a batch of new MY20 cars after the MY21 cars were in production, so sold them off at a decent price.

Mine was a pre-reg from Guy Salmon (now Sytners) in Coventry and was a spot on match for what I wanted. Maybe the Firenze red but I do love the Ceasium blue. The timing worked perfectly for my company financial year end and with the decent price I couldn’t say no.

The car has been the best and worst car I’ve owned, absolutely love to drive it but it has been the most unreliable and can’t stay out of the dealers. 5 months in total and now on the 3rd rear motor and 2nd invertor, various wiring harnesses, half shaft and currently waiting for JLR to remotely rebuild software/apply patches. I wonder if mine was last off the line using up old parts 😂.

I’ve looked around and don’t see anything I like so am sticking with it for another 2 years at least.
