If I look at my software version, it says the software is up to date. Version 4.0.0 since September 2023. When I check the website, I seem to have missed about 10 updates… This should be 4.3.0?

Can anybody confirm this? Or am I mistaken?

Your SOTA must be blocked. Recommend taking it back to the dealer. They can go into the diagnostics and execute the “SOTA persistency reset”. I done this myself at home last year and updates started coming through. Although don‘t recommend this, let the dealer do it. The programming for this task really only takes less than 10 minutes. You should have warranty so no charge for this, however they may have to get Technical Assistance (TA) from Jaguar HQ to authorise such work so although may be a 10 minute job realistically it may take them some time / days to fix it, request a courtesy car anyway would be my recommendation.

Hi! Thanks for your reply! That explains a lot!

I’ve already been to two dealers and got a new display, but neither of them were able to update the software and told me… “It’s up to date” I thought this to be unlikely, because you can find newer versions on the website.

Looking forward to contact the dealer and ask if they checked if the SOTA was blocked… then it seems like I really know what I’m talking about. :D Thanks a million!

Chances are you’ll be told your car has no updates and it is up to date If you call the Jaguar dealer or their call centre. Many posts on JLR forums about this, sadly very annoying. Only remedy is to give the car to a Jaguar dealer and request H439 / H440 which explains how they do the “SOTA persistency reset”. It is a known issue hence why they have the documents to rectify this. However, as mentioned, they‘ll run a full diagnostics and send the file to a TA to advise next course of action.
