I've updated the original post - but it seems the only way to flag this and get it to show as "new" is to add another post... unless someone knows otherwise?
It needs being set as a sticky post, that way it will always show at the top of the posts in this section. Only a mod/admin can do it though. Best to PM Rob.
It already is a sticky post - Rob kindly did that when I asked him. I think Doug may be talking about getting to show up in active or unread posts and as far as I know the only way to do that is to add a reply. On the other forum I used to be on it was usually a one line post saying First post updated to include X.

Oh right, didn't notice that, stickies don't work anyway when someone just uses the Unread posts link to read what is new.

Additional tip: to read out the software version of your Telematics Control Unit (TCU): go to Settings - All Settings - Software updates - Telematics. When no version is shown ('blank') tap the 'Get updates' button, and the version appears. You will then get the message that there is no update, or you can then cancel the update.

if it's sticky it'll stay @ the top, but I would guess most people use "What's New ?" when on here. In that case the post won't be sticky at the top of the What's New list (or at least I hope it's not because that would be really annoying).

So it will depend on your browsing habits......

In practice, once the thread becomes popular then there will be enough bumps that it's always somewhere near the top. Equally, if it doesn't remain popular then it will slowly sink down the list....

Yes I did mention that 3 or 4 posts ago.

I have recently completed a hundred yard drive in COMPLETE SILENCE ! :D
To echo Patje , thank you so much for the tip on removing the seat belt warning sound

By running the car down to 0% and charging to 100%, I learned that 50%-100% on the meter is actually 56% of the charge kWh. 0%-50% is 44% of the charge. Keep this in mind when decide that 50% is 1/2 way. All ICE and EV cars have meters that are not linear. Knowing how the instrument is calibrated can save you some grief in a bind.

McRat, very useful info, but what did you actually measure? Was it the energy used to charge, ie a kW-hr meter on your home charger? I'd expect that to be a bit non-linear in the sense that you observe, ie it takes significantly more energy to get from 90% to 100% than from 0% to 10%, especially if the BMS is doing some equalisation.

What really matters is the discharge curve - ie if you've driven 100 miles and are down to 50% SoC, is your remaining range 90 miles or 110 miles??

And I've copied this post to the "I-Pace Range" thread.

I used a JuiceBox Pro 32a L2 Smart Charger. In another car (2019 Volt) that uses a 32a on-board charger and LG Chem cells, I found 87.5% of the power goes into the battery from the wall. The I-Pace accepted 91.6 kWh from the wall at a constant flow of 7.1-7.2kW draw all across the charging cycle.

Both the 0-10% area and 95-100% area were skewed even more, so I used the 50% mark.

At 9% charge while driving I received the first warning. At 4%, the peak HP was reduced. By 3% there was now a blue line that showed what the peak power available was. You get a few warnings. At 0% it kicks into Battery Saver mode and the blue line is about 40% of max power. So there is apparently room left at 0%.

The mileage meter was more erratic. It could not be trusted for the charging cycle. 4% stayed at 4 miles for about 8 miles. Which made me wonder if I was going to need a tow truck. As it approached 100%, the charger was still at full power, but it took twice as long as it should.

Somebody should repeat the experiment and find out if their data matches.
I just wanted to know what the car did when I drove down to 0% so there would not be a surprise.

"Master" list (first post) updated to Issue 3. This post just to "bump" this topic for those who (like me) just search for "what's new".
What's new? My car - tomorrow...

I'm not sure if this one is listed, but when I received my car, I could not get it to show the 360° View camera in reverse, only in other gears.

For 360 view while backing: Select Camera Icon. Select the Settings Gears Icon. Camera Settings will appear. Make the change from there and you will have 360 view in reverse.
The Settings Icon are contextual. Different settings will be accessible depending on what screen is active.

At >4,000 miles I still have not had my Orientation scheduled. But I received the car with less than 30% charge, the protective film was on the HUD projector, there was no PDI checklist completed, and no mention of Orientation. This was after they were "working on" my car for over 24h since delivery. I hypermiled the car home without knowing the controls via a mountain pass with no services for 20 miles.

Not complaining, just an observation that the dealer was not ready to handle EVs much less an I-Pace. It was funny that I was most knowledgeable I-Pace tech in the building in a very wealthy region of the US at a large JLR dealership. But I expected it. If you've ever bought a Year One model of anything, you expect it, and you prepare.

Wow, wow and wow! That is so useful. Not only the ability to have 360° view when reversing but also to make it landscape and hence much bigger when used at any other time. Thanks a lot McRat.

What a fantastic tip.

Credit for that tip goes to Sbingham60 from the other I-Pace site.
However, I SHOULD be able to push 360 mode at any time during low speed operation. I do not approve of their bad coding.
