Google maps does appear in the dashboard see photo so hopefully JLR will find a way to allow Waze to appear with map in the middle too
Does it also appear on the HUD?

The change will need to be made by Waze, Waze for all its usefulness in Nav does tend to lag its Google Maps close sister.

I would assume given that it's not my specific field of expertise that both Apple and Google have adapted their O/S to feed map info in a standard format to cars for incorporation in Nav beyond the normal infotainment screen restrictions for AA and Carplay.

This will only work though if the car is capable of taking the feed (and it seems Pivi 4.0 ticks that box for JLR) and the phone itself is compatible, running the right OS version and the map application used also complies to that standard.

The phone reminder is a really useful small change. My wife's car has had this for years and whilst a small thing it does make the wireless charger more useful.

I notice there is no comment about third party Nav and HUD. So I assume the HUD is still not supported by third party Nav apps which is a shame.

Very useful thank you. Clive.

Just had an update fail due to "low battery try driving for a while", the HV battery is at 85% and I have just driven 40 miles. Curious! I shall try again. Something similar happened for the 3.3.2 update.

Has anyone been able to assess the impact of this update on the charge curve, specifically for rapid charging?

I am having the same problem. The software has downloaded but it fails to install due to “low battery try driving for a while.” I have tried several times and have just driven for 90 mins and again it failed to install. I am charging up now and am trying “scheduling” another attempt to install for tomorrow morning. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to take it in to the dealership.

Just failed again, I don't understand it the 12v battery it is referring too appears to be fine and it should not really matter on an EV where the 12v looks after itself. I am almost fully charged and don't want to charge any more as am away for a while. This is nuts.

Mine updated to 4.0.0 with no problems yesterday.

Android Auto displays ok on the screen in front of the driver although it's a bit small and is dark, as if it's in night mode. The turns don't show in the HUD. I usually use the Jag nav anyway as I like it.

I really like the Phone On Charging Pad reminder, I've had that on my last few cars and was surprised the I-Pace didn't have it.

The range doesn't seem to have changed at all as far as I can tell. I haven't charged the car since the update so it will be interesting to see if it charges to more than 75% with no problems. Right now mine is showing 123 miles at 47% which equates to 262 miles for 100%.

Does anyone know why a P has appeared next to the camera icon on the home screen? Maybe to indicate the cameras are only for parking but that's was always the case.

Updated to 4.0 looks good to me Apple CarPlay on both screens but directions not on HUD, think that was expecting too much, tbh Pivi Nav does it better, finds everything ive chucked at it inc chargers, sandwich shops, car garages, shops. Can only pinch the screen to zoom on Pivi, not CarPlay, main downside for me. But it's there for when you need it.
Only thing I learned today was cant install whilst charging, so one for when you're out or before you plug in for the evening..

Well I don't know how or why it happened but installing the downloaded software by scheduling it in the future worked, it was after a full recharge as well.

It’s good to see google maps or Apple Maps also on the instrument panel screen. Clive.

Failed to instal 4 times now 😕
