Has anyone had this yet or is everyone still on 3.3.3?
I had that issue on the instrument cluster a few days after installing Pivi 4.0. It went back to maps properly after the car had been parked and locked for a few hours and hasn't appeared since. How can you tell if you have pivi 4.0 please?
I cannot get any maps on the instrument cluster it just shows a car whether on the left, right or full screen?
I can get the map on the centre screen but nothing on the instrument cluster?
Thanks for the reply, but it seems to be the same thread![]()
It was a link to a comment that specifically says how to check the SW version you have. To quote it:Thanks for the reply, but it seems to be the same thread![]()
Go to Settings -> All -> Software Update to check the version to check you are on 4.x
Remember iPhone CarPlay only shows Apple Maps in cluster and Android Auto only shows Google Maps on the cluster.
Yes, but my car info is not very helpful. Could it because my car is brand new and it has not received any update? It was a link to a comment that specifically says how to check the SW version you have. To quote it:
Yes, that is a good sign, but then again, why in the dashboard I get the Pivi map and not the Apple Map?Ah I see. That's not very helpful of it is it
IIRC leaving the phone on the wireless charging pad and getting a warning was a Pivi 4.0.0 addition.
You do not see a version in Pivi until an update has actually been applied. So if you have been supplied with up to date software when you get the car you won't see a version appear until the next update is applied. Agree the functionality you are shown was only present in the latest update so you should be on 4.0.Yes, that is a good sign, but then again, why in the dashboard I get the Pivi map and not the Apple Map?![]()
Hmm, I setup a destination in Apple Maps and this is what I get: directions in main screen using Apple Maps, Pivi map (no directions) in the dashboardYou only see the Apple/Google map in the dash screen when you are actually navigating using them (i.e. you have a destination set using the non Pivi Nav).
